What Sets Us Apart?

Small Group, Flexible Schedule: Small group sizes (6 max), flexible timing, and tailored travel options from Hanoi upon request.

Cultural Immersion: At Baiyue Tours, we are members of the Hmong, Red Dzao, and Tay ethnic minorities who live in the mountains of Ha Giang. Our ability to speak the local indigenous languages of the hill tribes means that you have access to meet locals and experience culture that very few other people do. Likewise, you can rest assured that all the communities we visit are properly compensated for their hospitality and time.

Skilled, Reliable Drivers: Our drivers all have over 8 years of driving experience, and having grown up within Ha Giang, we know the roads like the back of our hand. As many of us are parents, we prioritize safety just as we would if we were driving our own kids.

High-Quality Motorbikes: Safe, comfortable bikes with highly skilled local drivers.

Lower Frequency, Higher Quality: We don't run tours every day—just when requested. Why? This allows our guides to maintain our other jobs as farmers and business people, and spend quality time with our families and communities. This is more sustainable for both us and the environment, and it allows for a more meaningful experience for you. Because our tours are treated as special occasions, we are thrilled to show you the places we call home, and we go above and beyond to do so.

Avoid Crowds: Nobody wants to get stuck at a viewpoint with 50 other tourists, so we do our best to start early and beat the crowds. Many other tour companies cater to young backpackers and party crowds that stay up late and get up late. We, however, get a head start in order to enjoy the serenity of nature, the views, and unique local experiences without overbearing crowds.

Non-Profit + Socially Responsible: Baiyue Tours was formed in direct response to predatory tour companies who took advantage of our friends and family members, denying them health benefits and ethical pay while forcing them into dangerous situations. Our goal is to harness the power of tourism for good, making sure all profits are reinvested into our ethnic minority communities and used to create better lives for our families and friends.
